Cousin Weekend

Grandma Deb had cousins in town this weekend. BJ and Lori read books together at the coffee shop on Saturday morning. He was very shocked that they were there...he had no clue they were coming to town. There were lots of hugs and kisses from Kathy, Pam & Lori!

Last Day of Soccer

Yep, the last day of soccer. No more red Gatorade mustaches on Sunday night. Joe's team had a challenging season, but boy did they put their hearts into a double-header today. 4 goals finally won a game for them. Just in the nick of time. Ben's team had a great day also. He is so happy to have played with great friends this season. He's working on his chest-bump skills. Uncle Kevin, watch out! The kids ended the day playing against coaches and parents. This was the most fun they've had all season. The adults had fun too!
Picking teams can be stressful. Do you want your brother on yours? YES! Luckily, Julie was there to comfort BJ.

Farm Day

Alma & James Patrick joined our family in the field north of Storm Lake today. Joe was with Pa combining and we wanted him to show off his skills. It was a gorgeous day to be running through the corn! Joe took Alma on a ride alone across the field. Whew! What a big deal. He is a very serious boy operating heavy machinery. James and Ben learned about what is inside an ear of corn. We had a blast!

I love this picture...taken by Justin. What blue eyes!
