Happy New Year to all our friends and family! Here is wishing each of you a more exciting, fun, and enriching 2013. We are all looking forward to a great 2013 that enrich our lives with each other and with our friends and family. We are also looking forward to returning to work and school in the next few days!
We had a great New Years Celebration with the Ole's with some bowling at Storm Lake Bowl and a hearty meal at Mi Azteca. The adults vs. the kids (Nick, Joe, and Ben) in bowling went well, adults gave the kids 100 pins to even the numbers as we had one more player. Unfortunately the adults were not able to overcome the great bowling performance that the kids put on in the first game and we fell to a defeat but the adults came back to a sound victory in game #2. With the score even the adults called it a draw and we headed for the food - we didn't want to risk the potential second loss!
So we await the drop of the ball or the drag queen in Key West, Florida and 2013 reflecting on 2012 and looking forward 2013. Seems that Iowa needs something to drop at the new year, maybe a 120 pound Pig that oinks? Let me know what you think would be a good idea so we can get something started before 2014 sneaks up on us.
So until the next post I'll be holding on to the edge of the cliff (the fiscal one) waiting on Congress to figure out our paychecks (seems they were able to figure theirs out without any delay so it should be easy to figure out mine).
