Day 4 - March 8, 2014 - Spring Training

Today ended up being a no ball game day even though the Indians still held their streak by tying the Padres in ten innings.  Tomorrow baseball resumes in Goodyear with another game and then a final game on Monday, at least for us.

Grandpa started the morning with some grapefruit from the Reynolds neighbor yesterday.  The fruit is awesome and has a great taste.

That may look like a sour face but I a told that means it was great grapefruit!  It could also be my terrible photo skills.

Before we could get going today Joe had to do some homework, Mr Hupke he wasn't allowed to his calculator!

Once that math and violin work was done (he saved some for tomorrow) we were off to meet with Grandpa's cousin Kathy in Scottsdale.  We went to old town Scottsdale with her to tour the area and have lunch.  Lots of good discussion and some need shops.  Joe did good shopping and purchased himself a new wallet, but I don't know of he had any money left to put in it when he was done?

Sorry the photo above is dark the waiter took this for us at he Grapevine Resturant in Scottsdale.

I did get an opportunity to meet a singing cowboy on a horse named Dusty.  Here is a photo of my encounter.

After Scottsdale and seeing Kathy we headed back but stopped to see the mall in Peoria where Joe and Grandpa scouted hunting supplies at Dicks Sporting Goods and. Joe checked out the Lego store!

Tomorrow baseball returns with a return trip to Goodyear to see the Indians.  Two days left on a fun baseball adventure and then back to the warmth of family and friends back home, and work of course, can't let them think I forgot about them!
